Budget insurance looted my money. The wolf of Wall Street

From June 2014- February 2023, I paid Budget insurance without any default or claim. Calculating I paid over R100000.

I got an accident on 10.02.2023, sent them the pictures and they sent a document saying that the repairs will be around R23000 and I took the car to Renew it. Then I’m told the car will cost R89000 to repair and therefore it’s a write off.

Renel told me they can only repair my vehicle for half the value of my car and I have paid more than the value of my car, now what’s the use of the insurance. A third party can be covered for a higher amount but not I who has been paying for years. So Budget insurance says, they can’t fix my car for R89000, they are writing off the car for R78900 and the buy out is R39700 because they taking Salvage for R36600+ R2525.

So Im told my car can’t be fixed because repairs cost R89000 but I’m offered R39000 to fix it myself. An escalation to Virshan was another waste of my time because just like budget they dont have the client’s best interest.

What a loss to me. It’s like Budget is doing me a favour. What makes you a different car insurance? Looting very neatly!

You are the reason people drive around without insurance!
