Budget insurance is the worst

On the 18 October 2020 my house was broken into. The assessor that was appointed for my case was Grant Williams. He came to the house and asked questions which I answered and requested receipts for items that some were gifts some my late husband had bought through his cousin's years ago some I cud retrieve coz it was still on my name. When I took out the household content insurance I asked the consultant should I take pics of everything in the house incase I ever experience a break in and she said it wud not be necessary but if I want to I should. The claim went on for a month on the 19th Grant told me my claim was rejected as some of the items were not on my name and that I did not mention that in my previous break in which I had no insurance for in 2014 that my microwave was ******. For that reasons my claim was revoked. He than mentioned that his manager would call me 23rd of November 2020 up to this hour I haven't received a single call. So in short if u do not have any invoices for your household items you in trouble. The assessor looked for every loop hole not to pay. He was extremely harsh at times and kept on emphasis that it's my responsibility to read T&C. My question remained y was this not mentioned when I took out the policy instead the consult said it won't be a problem. The assessor said that we claimed becoz of the not disclosing about the microwave which was not even insured and also coz my partner could not get a bank statement for a TV he bought in 2018 cash and the account was closed and the bank said they are unable to give a bank statement for a closed account but the receipt was there with the same description of the ****** item. I am extremely unhappy with the outcome and wud never recommend Budget insurance to anyone. Was once insured with Hollard Insurance their claims and service is the best. I regret it till this hour why I never revived that policy. I am taking this to the media I am not going to sit back and let my intergrity be questioned like this.
