Budget Insurance is a complete ****, steer clear.

For your own sanity and time, stay away from Budget Insurance (tyre and rim division). I've had the most ********** and time wasting experience with them, their customer service is below one star. On the 30th of Jan 2023, my BMW Z4's tyre burst whilst I was driving to work. Both the tyre and rim got bust in the accident. I followed procedure diligently and laid a claim. They took 3 days to process my claim, I sent ample proof and pictures with help from Tiger Wheel and Tyre Fourways of both the damaged tyre and rim. The claim was processed. 3 weeks later on the 15th of February they came back to me and said they had approved the tyre claim for a measly 40% of what it actually costs, and completely ignored the rim claim. I then escalated the matter with them and now on the 17th of February, they send me back to the claims department and say I should lay the claim anew to include the rim. I mean, it's been 3 weeks, what the on earth were they doing for a whole 17 days? I've spent hundreds of rands in airtime with them and getting customer service that's completely unacceptable. To date I have absolutely no update from them and they're making me run around in circles for a service I've been paying for, for a period of 2 years now. How long does one have to wait to get any real service from them?
