Budget Insurance insensitivity to inconvenience caused
I have put in a claim since 18 April 2023. Supporting documents were submitted as Requested to enable and assist in assessment. Last update received was on 2nd June 2023 informing that claim is being finalised. There was no feedback thereafter following the request for updates.
It's now full 2 months since and I wonder how long does it take for a claim to be processed. Quite an immense inconvenience to hold the car for a period of 2 months, never mind the lack of progress updates.
Is this the best treatment from Budget Insurance or is it the same across all insurance entities?

25 Jun 2023, 18:17Your intervention is much appreciated. I have received feedback and the claim is finalised. There need to be improvements on time taken to assess claims since it’s inconveniencing especially if assessments are to take more than a months. This mean about 3 months without one’s vehicle will lapse and it has economical impact on one’s personal life. There’s definitely a need to keep client updated on the ongoing activities to avoid unnecessary frustrations.
