Budget Insurance Household RipOff

I was insured for my house building in case of damage due to storm or fire etc. I claimed after a storm damaged my roof and water leaked into the ceiling. Budget rejected my claim and said I did not properly maintain my house and that's why I wont get my house fixed or any payout.

Same goes for the household contents I chose to insure and they weirdly accepted that claim but the excess is R4k and the value they were willing to pay for my lost assets was R6k therefore meaning would only get R2k to fix or replace my TV, bed and other items.

Madness.
