Budget insurance gave excuse not to pay a claim

I had my music equipment insured for 250k with budget and they asked what I was insuring and what was the replacement value and gave it to them. Now I lost some of my equipment, they told me that they can't cover because I didn't specify the equipment. They also said because my bakkie was jammed and there is no force entry they can't pay. This is the same insurance that canceled my bakkie policy without discussing with me and I had to have another policy. They have been collecting money from me for years and I have not claimed. If they can't provide cover because my car was jammed, maybe they should refund me so that I can but my equipment.
