Budget Insurance causing frustration
Hello Peter. I have been a budget insurance's client for over 5 years. I am a mining engineer by profession I have been affected by retrenchments in December 2017 and therefore lost my job; of which I communicated to budget insurance. On the 18th of April 2018 I was, ****** my last penny R4000 and hijacked a ford ranger xlt which I bought in 2014 and has ever since been insured with budget insurance (I was already their client when I purchased this vehicle). Obviously as a result of retrenchment, I could not really keep up with some of the commitments, one of them is that I had skipped paying for April's month premium. Response to my claim from budget insurance simply says "As discussed with you, an evaluation has been done of your claim under policy ********** 6 for the incident on 18 April 2018 and we confirm with this letter that payment will not be made. This decision had to be made because of the reason that your premium wasn't paid for the month of your claim and as a result no cover for damage or loss existed at the time". On top of all the stresses, budget insurance is just adding on to my list! Is this what a client is to them and how treat their clients? A money making machine, chew like a chewing gum and throw away when sweetness isn't there any more? Where is the decency of at least returning all my premiums if they are not willing to help me? You are my last hope 'Hello Peter'. Regards, Frustrated, M.P Molapo.
