BUDGET INSURANCE

Ok so here goes, i was in an accident in which i crashed into the back of someone and submitted a claim for repairs to the front of my car. Budget advised me to drop of my car at an easyway assessment centre and in turn they towed it to a stripping centre for strip and assessment. I must add that my car is drive-able and in working order. pretty standard procedure i thought, i was advised that the process should take around 48 hours to strip and assess the damage and that a damage report will be submitted to Budget insurance. TWO WEEKS go by with not a word from budget after nearly 3 weeks i make several calls following up on the state of my claim to which i am told someone will contact me within 24 hours. me calling budget became almost a daily affair and on several occasion i asked almost begged for them to contact me back to let me know what is going on.

Eventually I get hold of a call centre lady in the claims department and get told that my claim will not be payed out as there was an insurance gap in cover on a previous vehicle and that my monthly premium should have been around R150.00 per month more to cover the risk, all i can say is way to go on looking for an excuse to not pay out budget. this difference equates to a total of approx R600 more as this was a new car and only insured for 4 months.

Ok so now this is my first issue to which i'm annoyed but it is what it is and the routes of complaints and taking it further will be taken. BUT WAIT there is more!!!! i request that my car is returned to me post haste, as you can imagine its difficult to get to work and back now. They advise me Monday that they will deliver and that i should please make arrangement for someone to receive it, I then proceed to arrange with the MRS to stay home. Monday comes and goes and NOTHING gets delivered. Tues i call and get told that the delivery service was in an accident they will deliver Tuesday then only to be called and told that will not be possible as they are fully booked at an auction event and will deliver Wednesday (once again fair enough). Wednesday they deliver my car but with the front end completely stripped and deliver the bumper, grill, entire front end in pieces, now I must add I was in a bumper bashing with the vehicle still intact when i gave it to them. PLEASE BUDGET WHAT MUST I DO WITH A STRIPPED CAR. So i do not allow them to offload the car an send it back! , budget calls me, and tells me to call the claims center an sort it out with them ????!!!

To this very moment i am still waiting for them to contact me after calling them and almost begging them to get a manager to contact me regarding my car.

Absolute uselessness, deaf ears, starting to wonder how to get my car back now...........MY advice stay far away from them!!!
