Budget giving away personal information to 3rd party telemarketers

<p>Last week I was called by a gentleman claiming to be from Telesure. He said it was the time of the year that my premiums would go up and he was phoning me to re-quote. This man had all my info. My ID, address, car insured value, home insured value, home contents value, EVERYTHING.</p> <p>He was actually trying to sell me a mutual and federal policy. I could hear typical telemarketers background noise, which I had never heard while speaking to a Telesure staff member, so I knew he was not from Telesure. I asked for his phone number and I called back the next morning. A voice recording said the company was Quality Growth. </p> <p>I made a complaint to Budget regarding this issue (reference number ********** 560) and they have ignored my complaint. In this day and age where identity theft is so common, I found it extremely worrying that Budget would sell my personal information to a 3rd party company. I would like to know how Quality Growth acquired my information and exactly what info was given to them.</p>
