Beware Budget Car Insurance

I recently subscribed to a policy from Budget Insurance for my car and some house items. The premium agreed upon premium was R 485.75. Much to my surprise an additional amount of R 209 indicated as Budget VAP was deducted from my account at the beginning of January. When I complained about this I was told it was for “dents and scratches.” Unbelievable! There was never any discussion of such an amount, and it does not appear in my “policy”, which is irregular, in fact plainly dishonest. And then my policy claims it is “comprehensive”! On 7 January I sent an email to Budget requesting cancellation of my policy. Evidently some people at Budget can’t read. They again deducted the premium from my account at the end of January. I not only want a speedy refund but also a refund of the dishonest R 209 deducted at the beginning of January otherwise I take the matter to court.
