BAD SERVICE

I had an accident on 21 December 2018, between Cradock and Tarkastad at 23h00. I called Budget insurance 24-hour hotline emergence assistance. I was told that the car will be toured to Cradock NOK panel beaters, and I asked them if they going to arrange a transport for me and my family, they told me that no I will have to pay for the transport if they arrange it for me. Then I asked for a quotation and the lady told me that it will cost me R4600.00 from the accident spot to my house which it was about 80km. Then I told the lady if that is the case I will organise the transport myself as the costs is too much for me. The truck arrived and took the car away and left me, my wife and 1 year 8 months’ baby there with our luggage’s next to the road. Our lives were at danger, the area was very dark and we used our cell phones for light. Then I arrange someone from my township to come and fetch us and that costed me R1800.00 instead of R4600.00. Now Budget Insurance want an invoice for the transport. I submitted the claim on 22 December 2018, and the assessment of the car was done on 03 January 2019. Then after the assessment I was told that the car will be toured to Port Elizabeth for repairs, but I stay in Cape Town, and they told me that when the repairs are done I will have to go there and fetch the car at my own costs. I gave them a call all the time in order to get an update on my claim, Since I submitted my claim Budget insurance never called me to give an update on my claim. The car only arrived in Port Elizabeth yesterday and the Auto Bodyworks told me that they will call me during the week to explain the process. On the other side Budget Insurance refused to extend the period for the Courtesy car. NEVER EVER INSURE YOUR CAR OR HOUSE WITH BUDGET INSURANCE.
