All insurance companies will rob you. But no one will rob you more than budget insurance
I know every insurance company looks for a reason to not payout. But budget insurance is not an insurance company, it’s a ***********.
I’m going to write 3 separate reviews of 3 separate occasions where they have blatantly **** to me as a customer.
Occasion 1: Their sales person **** and said they will fix my windshield if I sign up with them (pre-existing damage.) I had to ask him “are you sure you going to fix it?” As it obviously didn’t sound right. The guy said “yes, we’ll do it for free. Just launch a claim after your policy is active.” after signing up and paying my first premium, they wanted to reject my claim. I told the claims agent “Nah sweetheart, a certain someone in your company said you will fix my windshield.” I had to make her get the recording of the conversation. When they realized I was telling the truth, I had to pay an excess of R900 instead of fixing it for free. I blame myself for not fighting this matter further. I should’ve also canceled my policy right there then cause clearly they employ *****. But I didn’t ...that’s why I got more negative reviews to write

That value added product is absolutely bull****. I kindly phoned budget insurance to enquire about the claiming process (since they did not bother explaining how it works.) I had 2 worn out tires, and needed to be replaced. I went to Tiger wheels and tires, as directed by budget insurance. The guys who work there knew everything that needed to be done. They tested my tires, took pictures of my license disks, that reader on the thread...they did everything. They gave me the quotes and told me they need to be replaced and my insurance should pay. I sent budget insurance the pictures of the car, tyres and everything. They started claiming I’m only covered for R1000 and when signed up for R2000 cover. Secondly, they said my pictures were not clear hence they can’t process my claims. I have an iPhone!! The pictures were so clear, you could zoom in and see the finest prints. I was so ****ed off, I told them to cancel everything!!

26 Apr 2020, 13:35I wrote e-mails to cancel my policies, I told their colleagues to stop phoning me about the debit orders...that’s the only time they phone you!! Yet when you launch a claim with Thandeka, Thandeka won’t process it after she promised to phone you back by the end of the day. you phone again the following day, you now taking to Mpho. Mpho is making you redo your claim from scratch, and she promises to phone again by the end of the day. She doesn’t phone also. I had to phone budget insurance 5 times in 5 different days to follow up on my claim, before I was told that bull**** story about the pictures not being clear. Yet they’ll harass you everyday about a debit order that did not go through. Obviously I am not going to all the debit orders to go through cause I cancelled my ****en policies! And they still trying to debit my account every month on the 25th!! For what?!!!!
