67% motor comprehensive increase in 4 months

I insured a new car in October 2015 at R284.43. At the annual policy review in February 2016 there was a total premium increase of 48%. When I requested a breakdown of the various categories it became apparent that the vehicle component had increased by 67%. The building and contents categories were increased slightly but the vehicle increase is ridiculous. According to Norman I was accorded a discount on the vehicle that is no longer applicable. Why? I have not had an insurance claim for 30+ years.
