30 DAYS TO "INVESTIGATE" A THIRD PARTY CLAIM
I am insured with Budget Insurance & have not to date claimed any damages on my policy.
I was involved in an accident on 1 November 2018 wherein someone rear-ended my vehicle. The person that caused the accident is also insured with budget insurance. With this in mind, we assumed the claim would go rather quick.
The claim was reported on the policy of the person that caused the accident and we both had given our statements to Budget consultants.
It has been 3 weeks since the accident and I have still not been contacted by Budget insurance. Upon following up , I have been told that the matter is "under investigation" and that the investigation could take up to 30 DAYS to be finalised!
A close friend caused an accident a few weeks ago - and the claim was finalised within 1.5 weeks with outsurance with no hassle!!!!
I would definitely not recommend that anyone chooses Budget insurance as their insurance provider! yes they are the cheaper option - but their service is cheap too!
