Where is our money?

We booked two return flights to fly British Airways in June 2020 from South Africa to Europe. Each flight cost around R10 000.00. Which for us is not an insignificant amount of money. The flight was canceled due to the covid pandemic.

We were refunded for the first ticket soon after the flight was canceled. The second ticket however is still not refunded.

I have followed up with them multiple times and each time I am sent an automated response that says it's not their responsibility as they are waiting on the airline. Then how come our one ticket was refunded almost a year ago?

Not one genuine response has been received from them. This is money that would make a difference in our lives during these tough times.
