BudgetAir.com's inneficiency and poor communication cost me 683 euro

I am very dissatisfied with Budget Air response to a legitimate complaint and request for reimbur*****t On the 31st of December I arrived at Dublin airport to fly back to Johannesburg. I was on time to check in my baggage & take my flight to Johannesburg , I was then informed by Air Lingus check in staff that my flight had been cancelled, on inquiring I was informed by Air Lingus staff my original flight route had been cancelled in September 2017 & this should have been communicated to me & alternative flight arrangements made with me by Budget Air. Air Lingus staff informed me that they could not assist me & I should contact Budget Air to make alternative arrangements to get me to Johannesburg. Which I did , I remained at the Airport & contacted Budget Air, Budget Airways Representative / agent who told me that they were arranging an alternative flight for me & told me to wait until I receive a confirmation email from the airline and then proceed to Air Lingus check in , I asked the Budget Air Representative if I should go directly to the Check in desk and he said no I was to wait for the confirmation email from the airline, in fact I asked him this question twice and he was emphatic that I was to wait, which is what I did, Once I received the confirmation email I proceeded to the Check in desk at Aer lingus desk, There was a Que, when I reached the Check in Desk the the Air Lingus Staff member told me I had Just missed the check in time by a few minutes. At no time did the Budget Air Repersentive say that I should go to the priority check-in desk. If fact when I approached the Air Lingus Supervisor ( Donal )& explained my urgent situation he instructed me to remain in the Check in Queue (there was only one Queue open that afternoon and had there been a “Priority Check-in” I would most definitely have gone to it but there wasn’t. In summary: 1. The original flight route had been cancelled in September 2017, which was not communicated or any alternative arrangements made with me, which is a clear breach/error on Budget Air part, which is where the problem started. 2. When alternative arrangements were being made the Budget Air Representative did not allow for enough time for me to check in , the Budget Air Representative instructed me to wait for a confirmation email and proceed to Check in. which I did , when I reached the check in desk, I was then informed I was too late to check in. 3. I then phoned Budget Air back & was informed by a very unprofessional representative this was not a Budget Air problem as they had made alternative arrangements for me and now it was my problem. The alternative that they offered were penalties and booking admin costs of 500euro and the only flight available would have been one week later which was not acceptable as I had business commitments which I could not postpone. I then had to book a additional flight for the next day at my cost of 683.00 euro to Johannesburg,

The service and response I have received from Budget Air is shocking & unacceptable!!!
