I had an accident on 29 June, submmited all the supporting documents and had my claim rejected. My concern is as follows:
I have provided three quotes, from Audi approved service providers, for processing the claim.
The highest qoutaion is R25, 535.93 the intermediate R16,556.41 and the lowest being R7,339,30.
Upon my discussion with the consultant, I expressed a concern of the claim being finalised on the basis of the lowest quote, as another service provider had issued a quote almost half (R16,556.41) the price of the highest quote.
Although the lowest qoutation is also from an Audi-approved service provider, I am concerned with the quality of their work in that they might use limited resources for repairs - possibly leading to additional costs for repairing in the near future. This is on the basis that the other two service providers recommend that the rear-bumper be replaced, as it has already been painted twice.
As is my responsibility, I am prepared to contribute applicable excesses towards repairs to the vehicle.
However, I disputed the outcome of the claim as it was rejected, on the basis of the excess being within the lowest quote.
This is in view with the lowest quotation - of which I'm not comfortable with their services which mainly entails painting - considering that repairs outlined by other two Audi-approved panel-beaters includes replacing the rear-bumper, the stifner and painting.
There has been no feedback, update or indication of where the dispute is in terms of being addressed. Today marks 7 working days of incompetence from Axsure.
