Insurance not moved to a new vehicle

I called to cancel my insurance on my previous vehicle, I receive a cancellation letter and put my new vehicle on the insurance only to find a year later that my current vehicle is not insured yet I have been paying premiums for the full time! The floor manager who was supposed to assist me has been none too helpful at all in sorting out the situation either
