Buco - bad PR, autocratic attitude and extravagant pricing
Buco bought out Dreiers - a hardware/ building retailer company in Brits with whom I had about a 25 years problem free business relationship. Over the last 2 years Buco had cut discount of certain clients from 15% to 7% with the provision that their pricing structure had changed to the clients favour which is not the case Early 2019 I went to see the manager of the Buco Brits branch in an attempt to increase my discount and was treated with disdain to the point of rudeness. In March I received a letter from regional credit manager accusing me that my account was outstanding. I was surprised as the account has 30days and on enquiry the lady apologised as she was incorrect. In the interim Buco advertising have bombarded myself as client with sms and emails requesting input as to the management PR and advertising specials I have just received a letter from regional credit control again this time cutting my discount from 7% to 5% "which is the maximum we as a company are authorised to allow on an account as per our policy" - yet I know people who obtain more than 5%?? Buco management is autocratic from the top to the bottom - there is no PR and their approach is somewhat confusing - on the one hand the credit management seems bent on irritating good long standing paying customers such as myself and on the other hand their PR department are trying to entice customers to buy in and rectify the problems caused by their evident lack of public relationship s****s. At the end of the day one buys from companies that treat you well and with respect - Buco does not fit that bill - their pricing is extravagant - their management autocratic and rude - and their PR would score a zero Buy at Buildit or Builders Warehouse - you will be treated better aand pricing is definitely better generally speaking
