BUCO GANSBAAI MESSIER THAN EVER IN 2026

BUCO in Gansbaai has been in question for a while now. Staff have left ‘en masse’ leaving one speaking to a different staff member every time you go to BUCO in Gansbaai. Can only wonder what the reason for the staff turnover is ? Service, of course suffered as a result ! Stock levels have been extremely low on a lot of items making it not worth your while at all to even stop there to compare price before going through to Herm**** to Builders warehouse and others…… The customized cabinets in boulders I’ve been trying to order since mid January . I’ve been dealing with a gentleman who has been sending me quotations . Every time I follow up on the quotation, there is something missing. First they were NO DOORS included. THEN THERE WERE NO HINGES INCLUDED. ETC. ETC.. THE CABINET UNITS IS MEANT TO BE A DIY CUSTOMIZE SERVICE WHERE KITCHEN CUPBOARD UNITS ARE CHOSEN AND ASSEMBLED /FITTED AT HOME! WHAT A MESS YET AGAIN AT BUCO ! Upon receiving quotation number three revised , I now get a WhatsApp message saying ‘ I NO LONGER WORK AT BUCO IN GANSBAAI’ …… please contact ****** with a contact number! Just when I thought I finally spoke to the only person at BUCO with a little bit of knowledge and experience , the cupboard units arrive with no cupboard doors. Apparently this is because it’s made on mass in Montegue Gardens!!!! (as if that is of any relevance to a customer) This is after I explained that I needed the delivery as the carpenter was coming to fit the cupboards. This is after I explained I had no storage and I was only willing to pay the carpenter for one day to fit the cupboards. Now, the self appointed person (referred by the one who left) deliver us the cabinets and assures me as soon as the doors arrived, he would personally fit these for me, and I would not have to pay the carpenter for a second consultation just to fit the two doors! This was still the arrangement on Thursday night, expecting the doors to be fitted on Saturday morning. Lo and behold………. A call from nowhere late Friday afternoon, from somebody introducing himself as an appointed individual to sort out my cupboard doors! I have no desire and the times we live in to allow somebody. I don’t know from the street into my home. I have no idea what happened from Thursday evening to Friday afternoon to change the installation of my cupboard doors in my kitchen. On top of it, I get a story about the cost of petrol and his private vehicle and etc., etc.. After conversation, I found out, that this person actually worked for BUCO and was instructed to contact me to fit my cupboard doors! In the times of ****ming we live in - would you accept this? BUCO forgot that the commitment to fit the cupboard doors was because the order was so messed up and the communication and Service was so poor: 1. FOUR quotations for the same job had to be issued, to get a complete quotation 2. After committing to a delivery and specifically stating that a carpenter was going to be arranged to fit these units, the delivery arrives in complete( -2 cupboard doors) 3. On starting to install the cabinet units two supports inside the corner unit was incomplete! That meant the corner cabinet on the one side would only hang on the wall from the cardboard backing! On questioning this two little boards arrived three days later! The excuse offered was that the cabinets were made in mast production in Montegue Gardens. (what is the relevance? Doesn’t nobody do quality checks on arrival at BUCO? ) Messy Messy Messy to say the least! Careful in shopping at BUCO!
