Sudden increase in school fees

Good day,

I have a daughter attending ,Buck Road Primary School in Lotus River and my son isbstarted grade r at the same school next year. We were asked to have kids register kids before end if March this year, for the kids starting grade r next year. Thereafter they sent a letter saying that the kids was accepted and in order to secure the acceptance of your child, you are required to pay the registration fee of r600 by end of November this year. A further r1000 will have to be paid next year when your child is attending. Some parents thus far has already paid the r600 registration and in last week, we have posted letters saying that the governing body had a meeting and the registration fee now will be r1000 to be be paid end of November and a further r1000 next year while your child is attending. This names the grade r school fees r2000 in total for the year of 2018 which is absolutely ridiculous since all other neighbouring schools has a no school fees structure in order..as many other parents, I am niy happy about this due to the fact that times are tough and since we have more than 1 child attending, we need to cough up the r2000 as well as r700 school fee's for the other child! Anoungst all if these Fee's, they have lists, fundraises etc, which is even more money and yet there is no extra activities! As amazing as Buck Road is, this is becoming a problem to the community.
