Ironmongery promised to us, sold to another custom

There were door handles on special (seven to be exact and I needed 10), that were promised to me and kept aside until they could find another 3 and if they could not, they would let me know and I would take the 7.<br> <br> About two weeks went by. I phoned them only to find that the door handles had been sold to another customer, even though it was supposed to be kept aside for me. No one phoned me to inform me about this and if I had not phoned them, I would still be in the dark about this matter.
