Terrible Customer Care Service on a return of faulty product

As a gamer I make a daily use of a headset for my online gaming. I have recently seen the end of a trusty headset and went to BT Games to replace the headset thinking that this would be a good place to find gaming goods.

I initally bought a Razer headset that did not live up to what I thought it would be and retunred the product pretty seamlessly for a replacement product of a steelseries headset. Upon opening the product and making first use of it, the headset was faulty and I have enquired with them to return it based on this on the same day(this was over the long easter weekend on the friday). I had been asked to bring the headset in yesterday, Tuesday the 18th of April. I retunred the headset and was advised on returning the headset that I would need to wait two weeks for feedback from the supplier on whether they will replace it or repair it.

This was the point that I started to get irritated, why must I wait 2 weeks for a replacement or retunred headset, I am the customer and I bought the headset from BT games, I did not purchase the headset from the supplier. Up till this point I had no real problem with anything but I couldnt understand why I was not issued a store credit on the spot so that I could get a headset of my choice from the store and they can take up the faulty product issue with the supplier, I was told that this is the process they need to follow.

So I emailed the email listed on their website and it was an email directed to Steven Moore, who has given me the worst customer service from a high representitve of a company I have recieved. He blatently ingored my siggestions of extending me store credit so that I could get this matter resolved in a more efficient manner as I do not have any interest in waiting 2 weeks for a product that I paid for to be checked and then advise me if I will get what I wanted in the beggining of the transaction. He instead just referred me to the supplier to get feedback, which in my opinion is unacceptable in terms of customer service. How can you tell me to follow up with the people you bought a faulty product from and then sold to me? I really expected better from one of the most well known gaming outlets in south africa. Please see attached images of email correspondence.

I cant understand how you can treat a client spending money at your store so badly. As previously stated, I am NOT BT Games, I did NOT buy the product from the supplier, why should I follow up with them? My transaction has been with BT Games and I expect them to resolve the problem of the faulty harward swold to me in store, so that I can take a working product home and make use of it today or tomorrow, not two weeks from now. Please get back to me with a reasonable situation or I will be going further to slander their comapny name on social media.
