Poor STAFF service! ***
It’s very saddening that BT Games can treat its customers with such disrespect and such uncaring manner.
I normally purchase a hard copy game each month for my 8yr old son. However, it came more as a constant norm that the older lady, including these younger chaps don't know basic customer service.
Not only are they short tempered with customers, but the lack of service delivery and business etiquette are the common problem.
Each month I spend approximately R1k on games and t-shirts or gadgets, however sense of entitlement these idiots behind the counter have when they reprimanded their customer is just a total shocking behavior.
1. Like today I walked in the store and the 1 colourd guy with the long curly bushy hair, wanted to spray our hands (from behind the counter). He sprayed, me, my wife and my son. After about 7min inside the shop, my wife wanted to leave then he rudely called her that she must come and spray her hands... AGAIN???
2. A couple of months ago, I bought myself Batman, Arkham Night. The older lady with the glasses (I believe it the supervisor) rudely said to me this game not allowed to be purchased for my son. I calmly stated to her that the game was for me... She then walked away without a apology...
3. Approximately a year ago I wanted to buy a t-shirt (the call of duty, glow in the dark prints) for my son. I asked if they had a smaller size as I could not get a small size. However 1 of the manniquins was wearing a smaller size. She said those were not up for sale. I calmly disagree with her as a price tag was attached to these dolls. The lady adamantly and rudely proposed we look at another game store... All this occurred infront of my 7yr old son, and the dissipointment on his face I could see she was acting unreasonable. I proposed to her if she could perhaps switch manniquin t-shirt with a medium size and we would then purchase the small t-shirt... She was at this stage red in the face and abbrassively decline all suggestions/proposals I have made. At 1 stage I thought she was just a rasist ****...
However after a couple visits later when going to the BT store, i saw the lack of common sense, business etiquette and the lack of institutional knowledge made me realize the staff at BT GAMES CANAL WALK just are idiots. (or some of them)
I am not a specialist in employment of Staff, however common sense tells me that you need a real gamer/s behind the counter and a supervisor with experience in service delivery.
Nevertheless, I am going digital now, so that store won't see me ever again (me or my 8yr old son)
