Non Availability of Advertised Goods

Good day Admin,

On Friday 24th November 2017 was black Friday for many retail stores and due to this many stores had marvellous deals including a PS4 at R3999 at BT Games.

As I was unable to go to the mall on said Friday, my mother went to Cavendish mall to purchase the PS4 for me. The consultant on duty informed her that they were out of stock but their Blue route branch had stock available. When she arrived at the store, she was informed that the stock available was for online purchasing only. My mother then immediately contacted me whilst still in the store and informed me of this. I attempted to purchase the product online but due to unforeseen circumstances the website was under maintenance for the day??? I informed my mother that I was unable to get online and she informed the consultant who then advised that we should contact the head office as they have received many complaints from customers due to the BT Games website being offline the entire day.

Monday the 27th November I contacted the Head Office to explain the whole scenario and how badly I wanted to purchase the PS4 and to explain what had happened. I was met with unhelpfulness from Lube Mahonda,who refused to assist me when I informed him that I had tried everything possible to purchase this product. He then proceeded to tell me they do have stock but that I should purchase it at the normal retail price.

I am utterly disappointed at how a loyal customer was treated and being such a huge company not willing to be more helpful, through all this I still wish to purchase the product but at the online price as indicated on Black Friday when their website was down.
