I tried to pre-order Destiny 2 from the BT Games Website. Upon checkout the site said I would need to pay the full amount as opposed to the R500 deposit I've paid for games in the past. I the customer help number and was told that the system has changed, that i would now need to pay the full amount to secure the pre-order.

In the post on the website, you will find this "To receive the figurine a R500 deposit needs to be placed to secure your pre-order". So, accoriding to that, R500 will secure the preorder. I assumed this because it says TO SECURE YOUR PRE-ORDER.

While admitadly the top of your page says: "PLEASE NOTE THIS EDITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER ONLINE AND CAN ONLY BE SECURED WHEN FULL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE WITHIN 48HRS OF PRE-ORDER PLACED. ANY UNPAID PRE-ORDERS WILL BE CANCELLED AFTER 48HRS."

Yet, below that is says "To receive the figurine a R500 deposit needs to be placed to secure your pre-order and receive the Figurine..."

So, if we follow the order of operations, then the second phrase is the correct one.

This is misleading to say the least. The web page literally says that a R500 deposit can secure my pre-order if I am using in-store collection.

So, after not getting a satisfactory answer on the phone I posted on Facebook, where I was given an email address to send my complaint to. I did, and got this in reply "I have forwarded this onto my colleague that created that listing and the notices on it for payments and such for him to explain to you about this."

24 Hours later and I have heard nothing back. At all. So now I'm taking to a few more social media platforms in the hopes that BT Games will actually respond. And now they have edited the page tp remove the R500 to secure your preorder text. So they edited the website to remove the offending offer, but can't bother to reply to my mail .
