Definition of sale

Good day all,

I am an avid gamer and not being in the mood of late I decided to get my groove back.

I spent Friday morning (18th August 2017) deciding on the games and periphilia to get to enjoy my hobby the weekend as a break from my usual studies. This was supposed to be a treat to myself. So I pop online to my normally favourite game shop, BT Games. Place my order, pay online.

The money goes off my account. I get an order confirmation and later during my lunch I pop up the road to fetch my toys.

Imagine my surprise when in store I am told they are offline and even though the order and money is received, they cannot give me the merchandise I paid for.

A sale is described as the payment for a service or items of which completed when the one is exchanged for the other.

I did my part, however it seems BT Games does not understand the concept.

The excuse is their servers are experiencing problems. Understandable. Not so understandable, if the servers are offline then why was the online shop functioning and payments able to process? Why are all the details reflecting on the system but they cannot resolve a simple sale? Wake up people, computers are everywhere but at the end of the day human interaction is required. Override the system where necessary.

After explaining to Terry Clarke that I need a refind the same day and promises of the refund so I can obtain the merchandise from another source I am still waiting.

My emails now are being ignored and apparently us, the consumer, is always good to take for a ride.

Here I sit with a weekend completely unlike I was planning for. Thank you BT Games.
