BT GAMES IS ABSULOTELY THE LAST PLACE I WILL RECOMEND ANYONE TO SHOP AT.
BT Games Pavilion Mall in Durban is absolutely PATHETIC Anyone buying anything from BT games must be out of their minds. Yesterday I bought my son a Astro A10 Headset for his PS 4. After returning home , My son opened the box ( obviously) to use the set. Immediately he realized that there was something wrong. We immediately returned to Pavilion where we explained the issue. Cameron Gounden the guy behind the counter showed my son how to plug the wire input deeper into the headset to allow the speaker and mic to work better. We returned home again. After maybe 20 min my son told me that the headset was bad and the quality of the sound was not what he expected and that it is a product that is way worse than his previous set. We returned today to Pavillion to hand back this interior product to exchange for a better unit. The Unit was R1300 more, that I was happy to pay. That's when the fun started. BT Games refused to exchange the unit as per their policy. The arrogant clown behind the counter said that products may be returned to BT games within 10 days of Purchase but ONLY if the box was not opened. I asked Mr Gounden to explain to me how the to test the product or use it the first time if you are not allowed to open the box!!!! In his wisdom he then explained that the box is damaged, that's why he cannot return my funds or swop it out. Besides the obvious small tear in the box, that I do not dispute - as its almost impossible to open without damaging the box, Mr Gounden found nothing wrong with the unit. He told his superiors over the phone that the product was undamaged and perfectly intact. He went as far as to say that the product is in perfect condition. The bottom line is that the product is not at all what we expected and not as good as MR GOUNDEN said it was when we bought it. There emphasis changed from the ridiculous policy of only allowed a return if the box was not open to one of a torn box. So the only explanation for them not wanting it back because of a torn box is simple. They wanted to sell this returned product to another unsuspecting client. If the box looks new, then the client would not expect a thing. WOW how low can you go BT GAMES? Clearly these "POLICIES " were put in place as a result of BT games selling inferior products and when a client discovers the pathetic quality , they refuse to exchange it based on these insane policies. Cameron Gounden then went on to say that they first need to ask their supplier if I can return the ****py product as that's another policy they have. People lets make this clear, I bought the PRODUCT from BT games Pavilion , not their supplier. BT Games Pavilion is responsible for their products. I have recorded the whole incident and it will be used at a later stage. Get this - Cameron Gouden said the video cannot be used as the POPI act does not allow it. ha ha ha ha ha. BT games is definitely not a place to shop at should you have any issues with their products. They simply refuse to abide by the rules of the Consumer protection act. They presume that their policies override that of the act. If you buy something at BT games, they take ZERO responsibility for anything other than getting your money. Customer service or client satisfaction is a BIG NO .
