**********, damaged goods and no insurance claim
<p>Brytons started by underquoting the volume to get the deal. Lots of anomalies from packing to shipping. On shipping they suddenly increased the volume and demanded more money than quoted. Took ages to ship with many delays and waited to fill a 40 foot instead of a 20 foot as quoted. On arrival almost our whole shipment was damaged. When trying to claim on the fully comprehensive insurance we were offered a settlement of $200 on a $16000 claim stating that all of our goods were already damage dbefore packing. No joy to date.</p>

28 Jun 2021, 15:45The cheaper groupage option was chosen by the client. With groupage containers, the price is obviously cheaper because you only pay for the space that you use in the container instead of paying for the whole container that is only partially full. We sell off the open space to other clients going in the same direction. Unfortunately, the down side is that it takes longer because we cost it so the container is full before it can go. This was clearly pointed out in the quotation.

The quotation clearly stated groupage on a 20 foot container yet this was not what materialised. It's almost 5 years later now and we have had absolutely no joy and not seen a single cent from the insurance claim even though most of our shipment was damaged.
