BRUSA (USA Scholarships) - very disappointing service, no accountability at a very high cost

My son was an excellent soccer player, scouted by Mamelodi Sundowns at age 15, scouted by TUKS where he played for 3 years. He was selected for the SA U17 squad in 2022. He also got 4 distinctions in matric. BRUSA approached us and offered a "huge opportunity" to play at Fleetwood Town (Div 1 in the UK), cost us R100,000. There were only games organised for the first two weeks, then most coaches were on holiday (so poor timing) we had to beg for feedback and thereafter never received further correspondence. We had in the interim engaged BRUSA to find US scholarship opportunities (at a total cost of R70,000), they came back with only two opportunities, one for University of Southern Connecticut (small regional University) where they didn't offer any scholarship would have cost us R500,000 for 1 semester (6 months); then came back with a good scholarship but at small regional University (Davenport) ranked 137 out of 160 in the Midwest. There were no comparative offers ever presented and none at a National University. Every time I have challenged them they now say my son is not good enough. Just a warning to not waste your money with these guys.
