Bruno's Appliances - BUYER BEWARE!

Bruno's Appliances situated at 79 Nugget St, JHB cannot be trusted to provide after-sales service. In good faith, I purchased 2 x Midea Water towers from Bruno's Appliances. The items were delivered by SiFundo who assured me that the items were in 100% working condition, and if anything was wrong he or his colleague Derick. Within days of the purchase, I noted that the one unit with a fridge did not turn on and that the second unit had an issue with sticky buttons. I contacted Sifundo, who initially sounded as if he was going to immediately address the problem but then a 2-week runaround ensued.

I then asked Sifundo for a full refund and threatened to report the incident to SAPS as I felt I'd been conned out of R4000. He then sent me Derick's no and washed his hands off the whole deal that he initiated with me. After another week of being sent from one to the other, unanswered calls, Whatsapp messages, and even SMS messages I had enough. I informed Derric that if they did refund, repair, or replace the faulty equipment I would go to Saps at 1 pm.

Derrick responded and that afternoon collected the non-working fridge machine. 2 Hours later he was back and said the supplier merely "reset" the machine and that it was now working 100%, he confirmed the fridge was also working but needed an hour to cool down, so he left, again with the assurance that if anything is still wrong he will personally sort it out.

I waited 12 Hours before I contacted Derick to inform him that the fridge on the unit does still not work, Suddenly all kinds of excuses flowed from him, He does not have petrol to collect the unit, he is not responsible, he is just a driver, and now I should talk to the owner Bruno, I asked for a full refund and to return the machines, his excuse was that it not possible as they already spend the money and he does not have any replacement machines. Again passing me onto the Owner Bruno, It should be noted that both Sifundo and Derreck at one point claimed to be partners of Bruno.

After being blocked by Sifundo and Derrick, I then directly contacted Bruno on his phone. He was polite but non-committed to solving the problem, I asked for a refund and called it a day, he then told me his cash flow was low and that he just got out of rehab. I told him that I'd had enough and that the way he and his "partners" were doing business was not acceptable and *******. you cannot sell faulty goods and then just turn your back when the client is not satisfied. I asked him if he had any honor as a businessman, yes, yes he responded, I asked him if he would fix my problem and he rep**** he would and that he needed a day or two to talk to Sifundo and Derrick.

Promising to get back to me, he then blocked me as well.
