Utterly dissapointing

My fiance purchased a beautiful browns protea edition engagement ring. We chose Browns due to the quality that they supposedly provide to their clients. Within the year, my diamond fell off at work. I started panicking as this is an extremely expensive ring. Luckily i found my diamond but was utterly dissapointed. When I called my sales representative, she tells me that i could have bumped it somehwere. I have an office job and do not use my ring for any strenuous activities. She then tells me that because my ring is white gold it is softer metal. Reading all these reviews, it looks like it is a trend for browns diamonds to fall off irrespective of what metal it is. I then told her i thought browns provides their clients with quality rings, her response what that Browns provides their clients with quality diamonds. When I look at their brochures, it then resonates how true that is. I eventually sent it to another Browns store to get it sorted out and even then, the service was pathetic. They constantly made it seem as if though I mishandled my ring and the diamond fell off. They even suggested I put on my ring once full dressed or it may pull on a thread. If I knew that I was paying for such pathetic workmenship I would have never purchased the ring. My ring went in to get fixed and like everyone I had to pay for something that was not my fault. My ring was not delivered the day it was promised and I had to eventually go on holiday without my ring even though the lady who assisted me knew that I would be out of town. I had tried to escalate this matter to higher authority but it seems as though higher management does not want to assist. I plan on getting married soon and would have loved to purchase the matching bands however after this experience I will not be doing so.
