Poor workmanship at Browns the diamond store

Four years ago, my now husband proposed to me with the most beautiful, elegant looking halo style signature ring from Browns The Diamond Store. Upon inspection, i noticed that one of the smaller diamonds which is set around the big middle diamond, was off set and not sitting comfortably on the platform like the others. We took the ring back to the store and was told that the diamonds are all set in place and will not fall off....Four years later, that exact stone has fallen off. Browns will not accept liability for it, we are now being charged for the replacement of that diamond. I find this to be utterly appalling. The ring itself is heavily priced to begin with, and then they do not accept liability for something which is clearly related to poor workmanship. I know people that have far less expensive rings from more "common" jewelry outlets and even 10 years later their stones (diamonds or not) are still intact. So please be aware that when buying a ring from Browns The Diamond Store, you will be paying a very hefty price for a pretty piece of jewelry that was put together by poor workmanship and you will be liable to pay for it again when something goes wrong. So think about that before you make your purchase.
