Browns jewelry inferior quality

We bought a platinum diamond ring from Browns 7 years ago. Last week the shaft broke. I returned the ring to Browns Sandton City where we purchased it only to be told that it is probable for a Platinum ring from their store to break in 7 years.

A week later I am still awaiting feedback from Browns on whether they are going to fix my ring at their cost as I do not accept a quote of R4000 for my account to have it fixed.

I have costume jewelry that lasts longer than their "platinum" rings. I have jewelry from other jewelers that I have worn far longer than 7 years that has not broken.

Absolute shocking attitude from Damian at the store as well! I will never purchase any jewelry from Browns again. What an expensive exercise to fix their inferior quality products. Makes you wonder if you take your ring in if you receive the same ring back?
