Bad workmanship

Bought an engagement ring in November 2019. The ring lost one of the small diamonds on the side of the ring. before that the ring main clasp was hooking on fabric, this was fixed, but not even a year after the ring was bought a small diamond disappeared and now i get charged for faulty workmanship. why must I pay R650 to fix the ring that I paid a lot of money for.
