Bad Practice

I bought a ring at Browns Jewelers just before lockdown. I never received the ring because Browns where closed over lockdown period. They have a 14day return policy. I want to return ring but they refuse because of 14day policy. How could I return within 14days if they where closed? The ring is currently still in store. There are so many complaints how can they be allowed to operate in such a way?
