Brothers In Arms - Kroonstad - LET THE BUYER BEWARE

I purchased an LM5 rifle from this company for R23,500. It was advertised as refurbished and in excellent condition. I was further advised that the rifle had been purchased from a local (Kroonstad) customer. After taking ownership of the rifle, it literally exploded in my hands after firing less than 25 rounds of factory ammunition through it. I was very lucky that I escaped severe physical harm.

On further investigation, this LM5 was NOT purchased from a local customer at all. In fact, it was purchased from a well-known Jhb gun dealer and was an ex security company rifle that I could have purchased for less than R10,000 from my own Jhb shooting club. It was also simply cerekoted and was in no way, shape or form refurbished by Brothers In Arms. It was made to look pretty, that is all.

This company has now advised me that they are not prepared to find an amicable solution to the issue and take absolutely no responsibility and deny any liability whatsoever. I am now going to have to spend a lot of time and money defending my rights as a consumer.

If you are thinking about purchasing a firearm from this dealer, I would recommend that you rather deal with a reputable company that does not mislead the public and gives some sort of back up service / warranty / gtee on products they sell. I will be distributing this review on social media platforms in the best interests of other firearm enthusiasts.

Its a pity I have to give it at least one star on this review.
