No spare key after 1 year as per sales agreement

After purchasing a Kia Cerato from them in October 2016 they did not have my spare key when the car was handed over to me. The sales agent said that the previous owner was overseas and he would get it from them when they returned and contact me. (This never happened)

I then contacted Riaan the sales agent multiple times asking for the spare key to which he said he was still unable to get hold of the previous owner. After 6 months i contacted the dealer principle and he said he would find out what is going on and get back to me (Which never happened)

I tried the dealer principle again a few weeks later and got the same response. I then tried contacting Riaan every few days requesting the spare key. I was given the previous owners contact number and asked to get it myself.

After expressing my dissatisfaction with this, i was told that he made a promise based on the previous owners promise and there is nothing he can do. Even tho the spare key was part of the sales agreement was with myself and Brothers Executive auto, not with the previous owner.

This kind of service is shocking and dealerships like this should not be allowed to operate in this industry.

I am not prepared to fork out R5000 for a spare key which i paid for.
