Worst service in my life

My car had a little bash. The left front and hind door panels, as well as the one on the left bumper needed to be replaced. Both doors had a small indent you could hardly see that needed to be fixed and painted. I made an appointment with Brooklyn Motor Lab for two weeks later. After it stood there for 1,5 weeks already they only realised they don’t have the panels. Supposedly everything else was done, we’re just waiting for the supplier for the panels to be clicked onto the doors. But it’s going to take 15 work days to come. So I went to fetch my car, waiting for more than two hours. It was still parked at the back somewhere – NOTHING WAS DONE YET after more than a week.

Four weeks later they got the panels, so they said. I brought my car in again. It stood there for three weeks when they let us know the car is done and at final inspection and I can come and fetch it the next day. Didn’t hear anything the next day. I had to phone them three times before getting an answer. At last get to someone who knows what’s going on. Then they said Oh no the one panel was wrongly sent in by the supplier, they’re waiting for the right one to come. It’s going to take another two weeks. I can come the next afternoon to collect my car.

Went to fetch my car the next day afternoon – they couldn’t find it at first. Then I had to wait in front, because they still need to wash it and it must go to final inspection (where it was already the previous day)???? When they at last called me to come the car was idling. Only the left front door panel was put in place, left hind missing (it took them three weeks to realise) and STILL NO WORK DONE ON THE BUMPER PANEL AS YET. But the car is done????

I went home, couldn’t get the car to start that same afternoon, it had to be jumpstarted. I never had any problem with my car battery before, not even once. Put it on charge throughout the night. The next morning the battery is still dead and I had to replace it. I just wonder who is going to account for that. And my car is still not done yet. I’m curious what they’re thinking – do they think I have three cars at home that I can choose from to drive for the day – they can take all the time they want or do they just not care at all. I have two kids at home that I need to drive around every day. Without a car that is quite difficult. Especially one that doesn’t have a working battery anymore after standing there for just over a month in total.

They were supposed to get the missing panel two weeks later, which surprise surprise didn’t happen. I phoned again: Oh no, it’s only going to take another week. Another week later and still nothing.

When I talk to them about the problem, it’s always the supplier this or that. Or they just pull up their shoulders and smile. That is now more than two months already for a very small job that could have been done in two days.
