Good day, I booked in on February 1st and paid for a standard room at R750 B&B I was shown into a small dark windowless room. No air con, just a noisy fan which went off regularly. I slept on top of the bed it was so hot, no air. There was a window in bathroom which provided no air for me. On the Monday walked to a medical centre, saw a doctor as my voice was almost gone and my throat very sore. I was given antibiotics, a spray and with the consultation fee and pharmacy I paid just under R1000. For me the breakfasts were inedible ; cold and baked beans and chips and greasy bacon and very cold scrambled eggs. I have sent four emails to the general manager whose name I know , to which I have not even received an acknowledgement stressing the fact that I was put in a budget room and NOT a standard room.and asked for a refund between R750 and R600 for six nights.i e eventually ‘phoned from the U.K. and got through to her. She is adamant she will not give me a refund and that I was in a standard room. She was rude unprofessional and was almost shouting at me over the ‘phone as I was so upset, I hung up. There was no towel rail no soap dish no small refrigerator which I needed for my water. Never a good morning, is everything alright etc. I have travelled the world and NEVER ever even in small Town received what was almost a hostile attitude my friends would nit allow me to stay longer as I had planned.
