THE NECESSITY OF VISITING UK EMBASSY

In this computerised age I find it both very expensive, time consuming and totally unnecessary, to have to travel to Pretoria (4 hours from Bloemfontein), every time I visit my children in the UK.<br> <br> The \argument\" is that they require our fingerprints.<br> <br> We have travelled to the UK on a number of occasions since 2002 and the Embassy has our fingerprints on record already! Fingerprints cannot change, so why the heavy costs for us to travel there, take time off work, toll gates etc, when we have ample proof that we are just a pensioned couple, trying to visit our children!!<br> <br> We appreciate that \"times have changed\" and that there are a number of unfavourable factors requiring high security these days, but surely our HISTORY should be somewhere on your computers, so offering us a measure of relief from these endless trips!<br> <br> The visa costs are probably the highest worldwide, given the space of time one can visit. This in itself poses financial strain for us. <br> <br> Our children are now permanent UK citizens, married to British men. <br> <br> So, PLEASE, UK, give us a break!! "
