British Council WORST communication and service EVER.
Let me start with saying that this is the WORST customer service I have ever received and also the WORST COMMUNICATION from any business institution comprehensible. Me and many other exam takers are scheduled to be having exams literally now but there has been no communication or confirmation in this regard. My exam is supposed to be on this Monday (it is currently Saturday) and I still do not know if it is happening, nor do I know the time and the place. People have been complaining incessantly on the British Council Facebook page about how they have sent numerous emails, attempted to make contact telephonically, sent messages via social media etc. and yet have not received any feedback from the British Council whatsoever. It is quite clear from messages online that people, including myself, are feeling ghosted, concerned, desperate and angry. There have also been people arriving to a venue where an exam was scheduled but only to arrive to no exam. All these examples highlight sheer INCONSIDERATION by the British Council to their customers.
Many people have to travel far distances, across provinces, to reach their test examinations, and others have to take leave from work, while we all have to fork up R4820 for an overpriced exam. The British Council enjoy a position of power and it's clear that they are abusing it as exam takers need to take this exam for academic, immigration and many other purposes - there are no alternatives. The inability to write exams are costing people a significant amount of time, with some people having to delay their academic year as a result. We have been in lockdown level 2 for some time and are soon heading into lockdown level 1, yet the non-communication and non-service continues. I'm disappointed!
