Out of pocket due to stupidity

Ridiculous!! Pay for extra baggage then BA cancels the connecting flight and books you on another flight and expects you to pay the extra baggage again while you wait for a refund on the first time you paid. WTH?? Nobody asked you to refund the money and now I have to be out of pocket for 10 days because BA decided that I no longer need the extra baggage. Wonder if they will be happy paying for their services twice and wait for a refund
