Bad to worse

Bad to worse!!!!! I took a flight from JHB to Ireland in 2017 with BA, visa upon arrival, all good. The flight old but it was fine. 2020 I take the same flight to the same place, I get to the counter and require a transit vise!!! Are you joking!!! Since when and why if you are in the same terminal even! There was to support, guidance or remorse from the staff! 2 hours later after BA doing nothing the one lady laughed because I now missed flight - how unprofessional! I also had a non refundable hotel booking in dublin! BA you need to communicate such changes and fix your service levels.
