Airhostess of the year. Thank you British Airways.
I have just been though one of the worst two weeks of my life. I live in the UK and my parents live in South Africa. My mother sadly experienced a massive stroke and I had to book last minute to fly back to South Africa on the 28th August 2018. I was travelling alone and in a horrid state. Very upset and nervous as I had three legs to my flight and terrified that I would not make it to South Africa in time to say goodbye to my mother who was in a coma. Upon boarding my flight BA057 from London to JNB a lovely airhostess named Carys James asked me if I was okay. The whole story came pouring out. She was a rock for me on this flight. She checked on me constantly and provided me with lots of bottles of water and chocolate to keep me going. I even expressed my concern at missing my connection so just before landing she moved me to a seat at the front of the plane to ensure I could get off quickly. I have never in all my years had such service. As I left the plane she slipped me a note to say that she would be thinking of me and to email her and let her know when I was coming back. I did so and on my way back the lovely ladies on this flight ensured I was well taken care of and had a large selection of tissues and extra treats. What amazing treatment and kindness just when I needed it. British Airways need to ensure that the lovely people they have like Carys James are thanked and rewarded for their kindness and concern. Thank you for BA for the small light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I hope you ensure that Carys I rewarded for the kindness she showed to a passenger when it was needed.
