BRITISH AIRWAYS IS A DISGRACE
I spent over R 128 000,00 for 4 premium economy return tickets to europe from Cape Town. I then paid an additional amount to secure our 4 seats - in a 2 + 2 configuration. I then paid an additional R 26 480.00 to change our booking to fly one day earlier. This was 6 weeks ago - and the person assisting me at the Indian call centre said our seats would not be 2 plus 2 behind each other (window and Isle) but 2 with 2 across the isle - and because I had already paid for my previous seat reservations there would not be another charge for this. Now we are flying tomorrow, and I noticed when planning to check in on line that NO seats were allocated to us. I have spent over 1 hour 20 minutes holding on. I am still listening to BA's music waiting for the "supervisor" who my consultant for today claims she is trying to track down because he is busy. The consultant confirms it is a BA mistake that the seats booking fell away but that they can do nothing. They have allocated us an isle - and 3 in the middle. This after paying around R 40 000.00 per seat for premium economy - not even business - booked 3 months ago and now we are treated like sh....t. I am so sick and tired of airlines treating their passengers so badly - and British Airways is one of the worst. We flew BA business class in March this year and had different but equally irritating nightmares then. Why do I keep on with BA? I suppose in part because SAA iS a complete and utter disaster - next time Air France of Lufthansa whatever the cost because I am tired of trying to deal with a call centre on the other side of the world that no matter how much time you hold on for does not get back to you and the service is...well so bad you cannot even say the word service. And the worst thing is nobody cares!Putting the phone down now - on the call for almost 1,5 hours and over half an hour since the consultant asked me to hold on for the supervisor.
