I would not recommend the lodge. I had to cancel the booking that I have made last year because of Covid and the manager at the time re-assured me that I could postpone my booking for this year. I was relieved because I did not want to lose the deposit I have made. After I have made plans to travel to Western Cape this year, I was informed that no booking exists for December 2022, and the lodge is now under new management. I was charged a penalty for cancelling the booking so there is no refund either. I requested an opportunity to speak to the new manager, but it was refused. They did not even make a suggestion to accommodate me somehow and just said sorry. I would think twice to make a booking at the lodge.
