Misleading pricing

I am very disappointing in the service i got at Brights Black heath today. i purchased a Led reachable lamp, before i saw the price of R189.95 i asked whats the price and the salesmen looked on the code and told me its R189.99 so i took one. i then got to the till and it ****med R249.95. i told the cashier that's not right as i was told and saw myself the price of R189.95. she went to go check and the salesmen then said another story that the code under the item that he looked at was wrong. another customer behind me had the same light and he also said he was told the price is R189.95, that customer then asked where is the manager Fernando. A staff member went to go call him and came back saying he isn't coming. I found that very unprofessional that he cant face his customers and lets his staff ,handle matters that's a managers task. I left paying the R249.95 because i couldn't wait all day and no one could sort out the problem. other places even if the price that is scanned differs from the price on the shelf it is the shelf price you pay. The price you see is the price you pay and i was told that is the price by the salesmen. I will take this matter further
