STAY AWAY FROM BRIGHTROCK DREAD DISEASE COVER
6 months ago a claim was submitted to brightrock under group risk for lupus, brightrock took their sweet time processing the claim and first tried to use the pre-existing condition as a reason not to pay, I had moved from one insurance to the other within the same company, no underwriting was done so I did not understand. When that reason failed they rejected my claim for no organ involvement but my question was what that was based on as the only blood investigation report they had was from the date of diagnosis, now 2/3 years after diagnosis they still made a decision based on that, no further investigations, no asking me for additional information,just a straight up rejection. They say they re**** on an occupational therapy report, from an assessment of whether I could work from home- they used that report to make a decision but did not bother to give me an opportunity to account.
Fast foward to 2024, I was due for my check up in february and I submitted recent blood works and reports, I have called brightrock over 10 times the past 2 weeks and nobody seems to know what I am talking about, the broker keeps saying she is waiting for Brightrock's feedback but they claim to not know what I am talking about. This cover looks good on paper but in actual fact is the worst, even Momentum provided a better and swifter service and I am not even a policyholder there anymore but the level of care and professionalism I recieved there was 20times better than brightrock. I have gone as far as setting up a GoFundMe on twitter to assist with legal help because at this rate I am being taken for a ride and they are taking advantage of the lack of resources I have to challenge them. A claim from November 2023, yet nothing has changed, still no feedback, still no accountability, according to them I have to become worse than I am now(based on their observation) for a successful claim. Isnt this cover meant to help with the management and treatment of a dread disease so you can go back to normal life and your family?
