I do not recommend!

Shocking service! I submitted my claim to them on the 22nd of February. Since then it has been a constant backwards and forwards to not only get my claim finalized but, to simply get them to communicate with me. I have left messages and requests to please call me back which go ignored. I have sent them emails where I am assured of a response within 16 hours, never happens. They do not send you a conclusive list of the required documents when submitted a claim and then use this to their advantage to come back to you in drips and drabs thereby putting constant obstacles in place to delay your claim. They have stated that profound hearing loss is a 'severe illness' not a disablity. As such, this benefit is approved. I REFUSE to accept any payment from them under this benefit as the minute that I do, they will state that I accepted their ruling on this matter which, let me state categorically, I DO NOT! An illness is something that you can recover from. Profound hearding loss you CANNOT recover from , you are DEAF! Futher to that, this occured not because of a prolonged illness and/or acute infection or injury. This occurred as a result of a condition called SSHL which, they are well aware, is sudden, swift and occurs over night and/or over a period of a few days, weeks at most! I read anther complaint whereby a client of theirs was advised she was not 'DEAF' enough? Not deaf enough? Either you are DEAF or you ARE NOT! (not to be confused with loss of hearing). Their policy wording is ambigious and open to interpretation permitting them the advantage of underwriting at point of claim despite this being in contravention of legislation. The criteria set to meet the requirements of THEIR listed stated benefit is impossible to attain, misleading and completely illogical. The true colours of a Company are shown at point of claim and this company only strengthens the view point shared by many, "they will find any excuse NOT to pay your claim" . Their loosely scripted policy wording affords them the opportunity to find as many loop holes as they can to either not pay your claim or wear you down with fustration!
